Recounts the adventures of Robert Lennox and his friend Tayoga, an Onondaga Indian, and of Willett the hunter. 'Besides being an exciting story, this tale gives some interesting historical descriptions of Albany in 1759, life on a slave trader, a battle at sea between a sloop and a pirate ship and much woods lore.' A carefully researched historical novel by this former journalist who became a prolific writer of books for older boys.
