Early printing. A very attractive early copy of the first book by Canadian writer Mazo de la Roche - who is best known for the historical Jalna series. Although this story of 3 boys, who are sent to live with a governess while their father is in South America, can be considered a 'children's book' it is appealing to adults also. Near fine in blue-green cloth with black lettering and an orange sunburst design on the spine and front cover (bookplate inside front cover.) .
