First edition. Bound in lime green cloth, thicker format, pink endpapers with Judy on the stairs holding a flashlight, illustrated by Pelagie Doane (4 glossy black and white plates) Book and front flap of dj lists to this title; back cover lists to Nancy Drew #13 (1936). White spine on dj. Very good+ in a fair dustjacket - small sticker from previous owner hidden under dj flap, a little wear to green cloth at ends of spine, but a very nice, tight copy. Dustjacket is missing an irregular piece at the top of the spine, ranging from 1/4 in to 1 1/4 inch, and has a peeled spot extending from the spine across the middle of the back cover, approximately 1 1/2 to 2 inches wide, stain at lower edge of spine. Despite these flaws, the illustration on the front cover of the dj is complete and attractive, and overall, this is quite a presentable copy of the hard to find first edition of this title. . |
