This book has to be unique in that it has both been compared to Joyce's Ulysses (although it is much shorter, more accessible, and funnier) and praised by Joyce himself. Certainly one of the most important novels published inEnglish in the 20th century. In the first state dustjacket. Very near fine in a near fine dustjacket: a very attractive and tight copy in yellow boards with a black cloth spine - slight toning to the front endpapers where a review of the 1966 reprint was laid in - in a yellow dustjacket with no tears or significant edgewear but with the almost inevitable sunning to the spine and edges. A scarce book in uncommonly good condition. .
