First printing. An account of two trips to Africa - hunting big game with both guns and cameras - by the founder of the Morse Big Game Museum in Warren New Hampshire. The first trip in 1926 , originally planned for 3 months but actually involving 7 months, was a safari in Kenya, East Africa arranged by noted hunter Leslie Tarlton and his company Safariland. On that trip Ira was accompanied by his oldest son Philip who had just graduated from Dartmouth. The second account is by Ira's wife, Julie, and is a description of her first trip (Ira's 5th) in 1935 in British East Africa - a trip notable for its untypical rainy weather. Illustrated with 32 photographic plates. SIGNED by Ira H. Morse on the front endpaper. vi, 297 pp Very good in green cloth with gilt lettering (some fading to the spine), lacking the dj. Uncommon. .
