First appearance in print of these works. Originally established in 1931 by Whit Burnett and Martha Foley, STORY magazine was noted for publishing strong fiction by new and established authors. In the fall of 1989, after a gap of 22 years, it was revived by Richard and Lois Rosenthal. Each issue features new fiction plus one classic story from the early years of the magazine. This issue is SIGNED by A.M. Homes at her story "Yours Truly." Other stories include Tower Street by Pierce Butler; The Run by Robert Canzoneri; I Couldn't Have Dreamed It by Christoper Coe; Safe Forever by Rick DeMarinis; Gifts by Charlotte Holmes; Yours Truly by ; On Set-Aside by Walter Kirn; Tobrah by Bobbie Ann Mason; Eating for Theodora by Melissa Pritchard; Little Nightmares, Little Dreams by Rachel Simon, and the Story Classic (1936) Theodore and the Blue Danube by Ludwig Bemelmans.
