Philadelphia: Lippincott, 1970. SIGNED Hardcover First Edition
First printing. The rather uncommon second book of this very popular author, who is mostly known for her novels of romantic suspense. This is a book for older children: 12 year old Amanda's behavior makes her considered a 'horrible child' or disturbed, but one summer she finally learns that what taking responsiblity and growing up means. INSCRIBED on the front endpaper by the author. Very good in very good dust jacket (some foxing to the dj, and spotting to the cloth spine, sliver clipped from bottom of dj flap, but still a much better copy than usually found.) .
