This copy is SIGNED by the translator, and tipped in is a letter (one sheet folded, with 3 sides filled)with very interesting content, in which she discusses her philosphy of translation and specifically what she did in translating this book "every effort being made to retain the spirit of the author and injecting as little of the translator as possible. The sayings alone needed comparable English aphorisms rather than 'interlinear translation' to retain both the spirit and the clarity of the original work...." Very good+ in blue cloth with a little fading to the edges of the boards, in a somewhat edgeworn but still attractive dustjacket (with a few taped repairs.) .
