Half-tone illustrations by Curtis Wager-Smith. A title in the 'Altemus Dainty Series.' Gift inscription in book dated Christmas1908. Very good+ - a lovely example of the decorative binding used on children's books at the turn of the 20th century . Bound in faux 'white vellum' with gilt lettering and designs on one half of the front cover; the other half has a chromolithographed picture of a drummer girl surrounded by a frame of cherry blossoms. .
