He influenced many American authors, including Emerson and other transcendentalists and Holmes and Bryant and his writings on slavery helped to prepare the way for emancipation. A small volume. 187 pp.

Condition: Good in dark green cloth with gilt lettering on the front cover (missing front free endpaper, foxing to the endpapers and lightly scattered in the margins.) Binding is strong, and pages are supple.
